Teen Cuisine Cookery Course
The professional cookery course for teenagers (ages 13 – 16).
This is a course designed for all teens looking to spend a day with a professional chef to develop and learn new skills and techniques.
Ideally, you will already have a high level of interest in cooking and have achieved a good competency level in the kitchen. Product knowledge, cooking techniques and knife skills will be tutored throughout the day.
You will be welcomed at 10:00am with a drink and snack. The day will be spent preparing, cooking and then enjoying a three course lunch, after which a session of baking and bread making will follow before finishing at approximately 3:00pm.
Cooking techniques to be taught will include the following:-
- Professional knife sharpening and handling
- Vegetable and fruit chopping and preparation techniques
- Meat and fish preparation – handling and trimming fresh produce
- Cooking dishes with the right level of seasoning
- Plate presentation techniques
Dishes will be seasonal, using the best British produce available.
The course price includes professional tuition from qualified chefs, all ingredients, recipes, refreshments, a three course lunch and PLENTY of leftovers to take home to family and friends.
