The Butchery Skills Day Course
Join our chefs for a comprehensive day of butchery. All meat used on this course is reared locally on Milton Keynes parkland.
Come and learn the skills required in butchering and preparing beef, lamb and chicken. We will teach you how different cuts are prepared and used in dishes that best use each type of cut.
After a morning of butchery demonstrations and discussions, you will be treated to a light lunch with sampling the dishes you will learn to prepare. Spend the afternoon with the Inspired Gourmet chefs, learning to prepare simple gourmet foods that use different cuts.
Butchery skills taught will include:-
- Boning and butterflying a leg of lamb
- Cleaning and rolling sirloin of beef
- French trimming rack of lamb
- Boning and trimming a Chicken
The day starts off with coffee and biscuits and includes butchery discussions and demonstrations, recipe cards, a light late-morning snack and a gourmet mid-afternoon three course lunch with wine all for £140.00 per person.
