An Inspired Gourmet birthday party is a perfect way to engage your child and their friends in an afternoon of creative fun. The birthday guest chooses a main course and a dessert they would like to make, and spends two hours with their friends learning about the ingredients, how to prepare them and cooking them to perfection. All cooking activities are age appropriate. Parties are available to groups of 10-22 children with a minimum age of 8 years old. We require a minimum of 10 children to hold a children’s party.
Our chefs have years of experience in teaching children to cook and have hosted many children’s cookery parties at Inspired Gourmet. The chefs always use fresh ingredients when teaching children the steps to make a number of dishes that children love. The children’s menu includes the following dishes, but modifications and alternatives can be made – just give us a ring to chat through the options!

The children spend 2 hours in our kitchens with our chefs, preparing their chosen 2 courses. The chef spends time answering questions on food preparation and nutrition, in addition to teaching cookery skills appropriate to the age group.
The party is finished off with a sit down party tea for all of the guests where the children dine on their creations and celebrate with a range of cookery themed party favours and treats. All Inspired Gourmet employees are CRB checked and we ensure that all of their kitchen activities are fully supervised to ensure safety at all times.
Prices start at £35.00 per person for a three hour cookery party to include professional tuition, private use of the cookery school, all ingredients, lunch or dinner, and a party bag for each guest. A birthday cake can be freshly baked on the morning of the party for an additional £20.00 charge.
We recommend a start time of 10:00am for a lunch party and 3:00pm for a tea time party.
The school will be decorated with party banners but please bring your own iPod, DVDs, balloons and party favours to personalise your event in any way. Upon booking, we will e-mail you with invitations and an information sheet to give to parents and children prior to the party. Children are provided with aprons and asked to wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes.
